TraceRTL

An RTL Signal Tracer for Verilog and SystemVerilog. Improve traceability and speed up debug.

Get started: Run TraceRTL once to register your machine — you'll get a free 14-day trial of every feature. After the trial, you'll have a free-tier license; purchase individual features below to unlock advanced functionality.

Description

TraceRTL is a powerful RTL connectivity analysis tool that helps designers quickly identify the loads and drivers associated with any signal in a Verilog or SystemVerilog design. By supporting hierarchical net tracing, users can specify a complete hierarchical path to accurately locate and analyze signal connections across large and complex designs. TraceRTL provides fast, comprehensive results through an intuitive Tcl-based interface, making it easy to explore design connectivity, debug issues, verify signal propagation, and understand circuit behavior. By automating net tracing and eliminating the need for manual inspection, TraceRTL improves productivity, accelerates debugging, and simplifies RTL analysis for designs of any scale.

Product Configuration

TraceRTL is currently available as a free tool with its core tracing capabilities. Additional premium features for advanced RTL connectivity analysis and debugging workflows are currently under development. No purchasable features are available at this time, but new features and configuration options will be introduced in future releases.

TraceRTL Base
Includes the Verific HDL Analyzer and Elaborator for Verilog and SystemVerilog designs. Analyze source files with syntax and semantic checks, then elaborate the design to build the structural representation used by TraceRTL features.

Playground

Experience TraceRTL instantly in your browser with the Playground. Explore RTL connectivity analysis without installing any software, trace the loads and drivers of signals, and use the interactive Tcl interface to investigate design connectivity in real time including help from AI support. The Playground is ideal for evaluating TraceRTL and experimenting with its capabilities, but it is limited to smaller designs. For large-scale projects and unrestricted analysis, download the desktop version of TraceRTL.
